Best Pizza In Kansas City Missouri

Contents

There are a lot of fascinating things about Kansas – The Tornado Alley. It got its nickname  for having so many tornadoes. And for those who don’t know, it’s the home of Dorothy from Wizard of Oz – no less. Another interesting fact worth sharing is that Kansas is known to produce enough wheat that could create six loaves of bread for every person on the entire planet. That’s how massive their production is. So it’s not surprising that they have a lot of pizza places here too. And that is why our gang was sent again to find the tastiest pizza in Kansas City Missouri.

It wasn’t an easy list to put because we’ve tried a lot and most of it did not disappoint. But hey, we need to give you the best so here is the Top 10 Pizza in Kansas City Missouri

Minsky’s Pizza

If you are in Kansas City, it would be a waste not to try Minsky’s Pizza. It was established in 1976 and is still consistently satisfying both locals and tourists. You can try out their award-winning pizzas and it’s not surprising that it is voted as the Best Pizza in Kansas City.

Their delicious hand-rolled dough pizzas are layered with generous toppings such as meat, cheese, and aromatic herbs. You can be sure that every bite is phenomenal. Order their Family Fun Pack for only $49.99. This includes 2 large gourmet pizzas and 1 order of their famous jumbo wings. Or if you are having a party for 20, we suggest getting the 20/20 pack. Enjoy 20 single-topping mini pizzas and 20 salads for just $179.99. They also have a gluten-free menu. Simply put, there’s always something for everyone.

Grinders Pizza

Grinders Pizza started serving Philly Cheesesteaks and New York Style Pizza in 2004. But of course, there are more things to love about this place. Our team adored their burgers, fresh salads, and Death Wings. You better check their website for their daily specials. Our top picks are the Funky Dough, Crispy Fried Mushrooms, Smash’d Hilly Billy, West Clubber, Veggie Philly, Fancy Pants, and The Levitt.

If you are in the mood to drink beer, Grinders Pizza offers that as well. They have local brews and seasonal beers to choose from. This is ideal after going around the city, don’t you think?

They also have Theme Trivia every Tuesday night and this makes it the perfect place to bond with your families and friends.

il Lazzarone

il Lazzarone is a family-owned pizza place that gives you the authentic Neapolitan pizza experience. When you visit their place, it’s inviting enough and you will instantly feel relaxed. They only use high-quality ingredients in their food selection.

Expect to be served by a traditional Neapolitan wood-fired pizza that uses only four ingredients. For those who are not familiar, Neapolitan pizza was developed in 1600. Talk about tasting history.

If you have a big appetite, we suggest ordering two pizzas. We honestly feel that one is not enough. The cooking time is 90 seconds so you don’t have to wait. Unless there is a long queue which is also possible.

Here are some of the foods in their menu that you need to try out. Fritto Insalata, La Rughetta, Carne, Marinara, Melanzana, and Supremo. They also have the Vegano pizza that has San Marino tomatoes, oregano, garlic, artichokes, olives, red onion, sea salt, Brussels sprouts, and mushrooms. And don’t forget to finish your meal with a great dessert. We recommend Fritto Mascarpone.

Buffalo State Pizza

The Buffalo State Pizza believes that a great pizza isn’t just about the food in the box but about bringing people together. If you want to taste the best New York-style Pizza in Kansas City Missouri, then you should come here right away.

We were so happy after getting our order because the slices were massive. It could really fill you up the entire day. In fact, it’s perfect for sharing.

Let’s have a quick list of our favorites and if you want, you can order these too. First of all, we love their Buffalo Bill. We also recommend Tallgrass, La Tomatina, and Parma. These are just too heavenly. You can get salads such as the Plain Jane or the Antipasto. Ask them to add extra Chicken for only $1.50.

Location: 1815 Wyandotte St, Kansas

Artego Pizza

This isn’t your regular pizza place as you would always get superior crust and toppings. Aside from the finest ingredients, they make sure that their pizzas are made using calibrated temperatures. That’s how they prepare it and it’s a must-have when you are in Kansas. You can get their large pizza for $19.99.

Try out The Philly, Formaggio, Stockyard, and BBQ Chicken. Their food selection is so wide, we can go on for days. Building your own pizza is possible too. So if you want to go all out, then this is the perfect spot.

If you are not craving for a mouth-watering pizza (which is quite impossible), then feel free to order their Artego Cobb Salad for only $11.99.

Waldo Pizza

If you were raised in the 90s you probably know the ‘Where’s Waldo’ game. It’s addicting, right? Well, we can say the same with Waldo Pizza! For more conservative pizza eaters, you can have the Cheese Only. But if just love wallowing in different pizza toppings, then the best option is to order their Premium Specialty Pizza. The largest one is 16” for $28.60.

Waldo Pizza has been in the industry for more than two decades. That means they know their stuff and was able to thrive even with the growing competition. They also offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options which makes it ideal for anyone.

They also have this rewards program where you can earn a free pizza by eating pizza. That’s just so easy, don’t you think? Based on our team’s appetite, we can probably earn our pizza just after a couple of days.

Pizza 51

You know how people say that there are aliens and UFOs in Area 51? They would kill just to have a VIP pass and see if it’s true. But why not go to Pizza 51 instead? We promise you, they have pizzas that are out of this world. We wouldn’t be surprised if aliens would come down and take a bite.

Our absolute must-haves would be their Highway Special, Cowtown Lovers, and Veggie Delight. We also love their Toasted Ravioli and Roast Beef Sandwich.

Pizza 51 also has great service. We were treated like loyal customers where in reality, it was our first time to order. We guarantee, you will order more for take-out.

Homeslice Pizza & Pints

By now you can probably guess how our clothes suddenly ‘shrunk’ after doing this review. Originally, we only had to find 5 Best Pizza in Kansas City Missouri. But how can we not try more? And so we tried Homeslice Pizza & Pints. It was one of our best decisions.

They established the pizza place in 2017 but by the looks of it, the business is here to stay. The owner, Shawn, loves pizza and promised to do it right. It seems that he is keeping his promise.

We highly recommend The Loue Pizza, Heart of the Art Pizza, and Pizza Loca where you would go loco. They also have these sumptuous meatballs that we just couldn’t get enough of.

Location: 1501 Grand Blvd, Kansas

Johnny Jo’s Pizzeria

We are down to the last one and the spot goes to Johnny Jo’s Pizzeria. Their Fresh Mozzarella is divine, it would be a waste ordering just one box. We must say that their foods are tasty and will satisfy your cravings for a good and heavy meal.

They do have limited seating, but we don’t consider it a disadvantage. After all, we wouldn’t want people to see us eat our pizza like 5-year old kids. Just take it home and enjoy it.

Location: 1209 W 47th St, Kansas, and 1801 Walnut Kansas City
